On behalf of the Men and Women of the Palos Park Police Department, we extend our deepest appreciation and fondest thank you to Police Chaplin Lane Hensley as he departs for his new parish in Palm Desert, California

We will always be eternally thankful for Lane’s interest in volunteering with the Palos Park Police Department. Volunteers like Lane are an important part of our organization and are vital to our efforts to maintain and enhance our high level of service.

During Lane’s tenure as Palos Park Police Chaplin, he was often the first one to offer his help to each of us, no matter a family illness, sick child or injecting unique concepts on helping fund a 24/7 365 day full service police agency in these tight economic times.

Lane once pointed out that our jobs are similar, in that it is often just us “being there” that offers comfort and help to the people we serve. Thank you Lane, you have “been there” for those of us who are there for others.
